Junior Achievement

Dear friends,

I am participating as a bowler in this year's JA Luck of the Irish...BOWL for the POT O' Gold Bowl-A-Thon. My goal is to raise at least $75 to help Junior Achievement provide 65,000 students with vital economic programs during the 2009-10 school year. Please click the link below to help me reach my goal by making a financial contribution to support my efforts!

Cute Cupcakes

There is a bake sale at work today and someone made the cutest
cupcakes in the world! I bought one of each because I couldn't decide
which one was the best.

Quilt Squares and Squeakwels

This is an example of the quilt square for January. Look at how precious it is? You can't tell that it requires 36 2 1/2 inch and 64 1 1/2 squares. I finished cutting the 36 tonight and my back is killing me! Who knew that being a homemaker would hurt so much? On a bright note, part of my Kwilting Krew is going to convene tomorrow for some cutting/crafting/cursing. These are all things in which we excel.

I'd like to give mad props to Tasha and Rachel for finishing their squares. Their dedication to the craft is appreciated.

Sophia and I attended the movie portion of Zane's birthday today (my cousin Karon's super fantastic son). We saw the Squeakwel. It was painful. The only bright part was David Cross as the evil manager. Afterwards we returned to their home to open gifts, have cake and listen to the kids lose their mind on sugar. A great time, all in all.

I finished!

I finally finished sewing the middle of my quilt. Now I just need a
stop border, regular border, binding and a back! I'll be done in no
time!

Bowling

Bowling at the Ritz right now. Haven't been in ages. The shiny lights
and disco balls are a little distracting.

Patiently waiting

We bought Sophia a big girl bed today. Ikea has a lovely reversible
bed called the Kura. I thought I had planned ahead well enough by
having Tasha drive us but I was wrong. The box is way too long.

So now we are all waiting patiently for Steve to pick up the bed.
Unfortunately he has a dead battery and is out of gas. It's a good
thing they sell candy here.
